Biomes are often named for their predominant vegetation, and all have certain characteristics such as microorganisms, fungi, and animals which have adapted to their particular environment. Terrestrial biomes are: Tropical Forest, Savanah,Desert, Extreme Desert, Chaparral, Grassland, Deciduous Forest, Taiga, and Tundra.
